The Heart of the Dungeon
You are the chef who has the power to FLIP between realms. They come to this ailing village standing between LIFE and DEATH to seek the power of the 'Heart of the Dungeon.' Traverse through 4 dungeons, themed after the flavors of Sweet, Salty, Sour, and Spicy.
CONTROLS
W - Move Up
A - Move Left
S - Move Down
D - Move Right
Q - Turn Left
E - Turn Right
Space - FLIP between the overworld and dungeon, Attack while in Combat, Progress through dialogue
I - Access Inventory
ESC - Menu
P - End game/see end story
FEATURES
- Press SPACE to FLIP between the dungeons and the overworld (Can only flip around the base tavern area)
- Talk to NPCs to hear their meal requests
- Cook recipes at the Cooking Station using monster parts
- Fight a variety of monsters along with the 4 Guardians of Sweet, Salty, Sour, and Spicy flavors to discover the true power of the heart
- Hit monsters with your frying pan

I had to play the updated version, thanks for sharing it.
I still love how it looks and how smooth it plays with combat going as fast as the player want to.
Combat still needs some work, as you get it it's super easy to never get hit just reusing the same exact pattern everytime.
Also I don't mind dead ends myself (when eating either the ingredients to progress, or the one you're meant to give to the 4 people) but I feel like it's far from consensual so one way or another it might be preferable if it's impossible to reach a dead end.
Is the game meant to become something bigger? You certainly have the basis for something really cool, sounds and visuals, movement, combat feel ... everything is right on point.
